Terms of Service

Last updated · July 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of MakerPotter and any projects you book through us. By booking a project or using the site, you agree to them.

Privacy Policy

Last updated · July 1, 2026

This policy explains what we collect when you use MakerPotter, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short — and we don’t sell your data.

Refund Policy

Last updated · July 1, 2026

We want you to love the work. Here’s exactly how refunds work with our pay-per-design model.

1. Who we are

MakerPotter is a talent marketplace operated by MakerPotter, Inc. We connect companies ("clients", "you") with independent, vetted creative professionals ("makers") and coordinate the work from brief to delivery.

2. Booking a project

There are no public accounts or self-serve signups. You start by booking a demo or sending a brief. We then quote a flat price for the work. A project begins only once you approve that quote in writing (including by email).

3. Pricing & payment

Each project is priced per design and quoted before work starts, from small tweaks to full multi-week builds. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are due within 14 days of delivery. Overdue invoices may pause active and future work.

4. Revisions & acceptance

Every project includes unlimited revision rounds within the agreed scope. Work is considered accepted when you approve it, or when 10 business days pass after delivery without a revision request.

5. Ownership & intellectual property

On full payment, all rights in the final delivered work transfer to you, including source files. Until payment is complete, MakerPotter and the maker retain ownership. Makers may show non-confidential work in their portfolios unless you ask us in writing not to.

6. Makers are independent

Makers are independent contractors — not employees or agents of MakerPotter or you. We vet and coordinate makers but do not supervise the minute-to-minute performance of their work.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate briefs and to own (or have permission to use) any materials, brands, or assets you send us. You are responsible for how you use the deliverables after hand-off.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use MakerPotter to request unlawful, infringing, hateful, or deceptive content, or to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may decline or stop any project that violates these terms.

9. Confidentiality

We keep your briefs and materials confidential and share them only with the maker and staff working on your project. Both sides agree to protect any confidential information exchanged.

10. Warranties & disclaimers

We work hard to match you well, but the service and deliverables are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MakerPotter’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

12. Termination

You may stop working with us at any time; you remain responsible for work already delivered or in progress. We may suspend or end service for non-payment or breach of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our service evolves. Material changes take effect when we post the updated version here, with a new "last updated" date.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. (Placeholder — set your governing law with counsel.)

15. Contact

Questions about these terms? Email us at info@makerpotter.com.

1. Information you give us

When you book a demo, apply as a maker, or contact us, we collect the details you submit:

Your name and email address
Your company name, if provided
Project details, briefs, or portfolio links you share
Anything you write to us in a message

2. Information we collect automatically

Like most sites, we collect basic technical and usage data — such as device and browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location from your IP address — to keep the site secure and improve it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to respond to you, match you with the right maker, deliver and support projects, send relevant service messages, and improve MakerPotter. We do not sell your personal data.

4. When we share it

We share information only as needed to run the service:

With the maker and staff assigned to your project
With service providers (hosting, email, analytics) under confidentiality obligations
When required by law, or to protect our rights and users

5. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand what’s useful and fix what isn’t. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct or update inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

9. International transfers

We may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

10. Children

MakerPotter is built for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above.

12. Contact

To exercise a right or ask a question, email info@makerpotter.com.

1. Approve before you pay

You always see a flat price and approve it before any work begins. You’re never charged for a project you didn’t agree to.

2. Revisions come first

Every project includes unlimited revisions within scope. If something isn’t right, tell us — in most cases we’ll fix it quickly at no extra cost. Revisions are the fastest path to a result you’re happy with.

3. Before work starts

If you cancel a project before your maker begins work, you get a full refund of anything paid — no questions asked.

4. While work is in progress

If you cancel mid-project, we refund the portion of the fee for work not yet started, keeping only a fair amount for work already completed. If we can’t match you with a suitable maker, you get a full refund.

5. After delivery

Once work is delivered and approved, it’s generally non-refundable. But if you believe we fell short of what was agreed, contact us within 14 days and we’ll make it right — through revisions, a partial refund, or a re-match.

6. What’s non-refundable

Approved and delivered work, and any third-party costs paid on your behalf (such as stock licenses, fonts, or paid assets), are non-refundable.

7. How to request a refund

Email info@makerpotter.com with your project name and a short note about what happened. We review every request personally.

8. Processing

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as our service evolves; the current version always lives here with the date above.
